Burgundy is a popular destination with tourists. The major sites, such as vineyards and chateaux, can become busy during the peak summer months.
In addition to foreign tourists, from mid-July to the end of August, many French city dwellers come to holiday in the countryside.
The highest temperatures are obviously in the summer and but there can also be a few showers.
