Cannes Guide
Nice-Côte d'Azur International Airport is 17 miles west of the city and is served by a regular shuttle bus along the motorway.
Buses
Buses from surrounding towns and cities such as Grasse, Mougins, Vallauris, Le Cannet, and Mouans-Sartoux mainly arrive at the Gare Routier, situated next to the Gare SNCF. All other local services (which also stop at Le Cannet) and coastal services arrive and depart at the Gare Routiere on Place B–Cornut Gentille by the Vieux Port.
The Rapide Côte D’Azur bus service runs to and from central Nice (1 ½ hour journey every 20 minutes, €5.80) and Nice Airport (Aéroport Nice-Cote d’Azur), (1 hour journey every 40 minutes €12.40, under 25’s €9.25). Buses to Grasse using this company run from the train station every 30 minutes (ticket price is €3.80).
Local Bus operator ‘Bus Azur’ offers a public service and tickets can be bought onboard. (Tickets are €1.30 each, book of ten costs €8.50, or a weekly pass €9.45) A useful bus to remember is the #8 that travels from the Hôtel de Ville to Palm Beach Casino on Pointe Croisette at the far end of the bay. Both of these operators are situated in the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville.
Taxis
A taxi to the city centre from Nice airport will cost approximately €80, depending on precise destination.
