Getting Around - Types of Transport

Buses

Buses run throughout the town daily and tickets can be purchased onboard and from the bus company offices. Fares are a flat rate, and passes of varying durations are available.

Buses from surrounding towns and cities mainly arrive at the Gare Routier, situated next to the Gare SNCF. All other local services (which also stop at Le Cannet) and coastal services arrive and depart at the Gare Routiere on Place B–Cornut Gentille by the Vieux Port (Old Port).

A useful bus to remember is the Number 8 that travels from the Hotel de Ville to Palm Beach Casino on Pointe Croisette at the far end of the bay.

Taxis

Taxis around town are found outside the stations, larger hotels and other key points in the city. Taxis are always metered.

Bikes

Bikes are another popular option and can be hired locally.
