Deauville & Trouville Guide
Deauville is considered to be one of the most glamorous resorts along the coast of Normandy. The Promenade des Planches along the beach is perfect for people watching, and with its casinos, race tracks, yachting harbour, golf courses and polo grounds, Deauville has much to offer the visitor.
Trouville, a charming resort, sits literally next door to Deauville, and is only 15 kilometres from Honfleur. The town’s beautiful buildings line its long beach of golden sand and its boardwalk offers activities for children in particular during the summer months. A traditional working fishing port, aquarium and casinos are amongst the attractions of this year-round destination.
Winston Churchill spent the summer of 1906 in Deauville, gambling each night until dawn.
The chic resort of Deauville boasts a casino, race-courses, marinas and the famous beachside catwalk, Les Planches – definitely a place to see and be seen.
Both resorts have lovely beaches and boardwalk promenades and appeal to adults and children alike.
Convenient for the ports, and easily accessible from the UK.
