Omaha Beach is not really an area for shopping. The nearby town of Arromanches, 6km away, has limited shopping facilities although there is a great fish and oyster shop, selling their fresh catches of the day, art galleries and a craft shops alongside a small boutique. Bayeux, is the nearest place for a selection of food, clothes and souvenir shops.
Boulangeries selling the lovely fresh baguettes are usually open daily from 7am, perfect for breakfast delights. Grocery stores usually open at 8am, boutiques, no later than 10am. All shops usually close for lunch for two hours from noon and afternoon opening lies between 2pm and 7.30pm. Most shops are closed all day on Mondays. Enoteca These are wine shops, and usually these places sell bottles to be taken away and consumed elsewhere, but some enoteche will also offer samplings of wine by the glass. (€2 - €6 for a glass; €4 - €150 for a bottle!)
