Eiffel Tower
No intro needed, though rather than climb the Eiffel Tower, you get a better, cheaper and less congested view of things by getting a lift up the Montparnasse Tower (€8.50, open daily 9:30am to 11:30 pm).
Place d’Etoile + Arc de Triomphe
Another must-see Parisian landmark. Leave the Metro here and stroll down the Champs Elysées to the Place de La Concorde, before crossing the Jardins de Tuileries to the Musée du Louvre (€8.50 or €6 in the evening).

Notre Dame Cathedral – Busy with tourist but no less impressive for that.
Jardin du Luxembourg – ideal for strolling hand in hand and feeling that you are escaping the crowds among the urban greenery.
Sacre Cœur at Montmartre – Take the funicular or walk the steep steps to see the stunning cathedral and equally stunning views of the whole city.
