There are a plethora of restaurants and eateries throughout the region that cover every budget and taste. Here are a few to try:
Metz: The Café se l’Abrevoir on Rue l’Abrevoir is a trendy, cosy venue selling good traditional fare. The Fleur de Lys of 5 rue des Piques is a lovely French restaurant with excellent food and service.
Nancy: Le Faitout serves lovely organic dishes with vegetarian options and is situated on Rue Gustave – Simon. Les Pissenlits on Rue des Ponts is in a great cosy and traditional setting with superb and reasonably priced dishes. It was awarded the Bib Gourmand by Michelin for this very reason.
Strasbourg: Two of its restaurants have three Michelin stars (Au Crocodile and Buerehiesel) and two (Vieille Enseigne and Julien) have one. Le Panier du Marché is a stylish, high quality restaurant serving delectable gourmet dishes of seasonal produce. Au Coin des Pucelles, on Rue des Pucelles is an arty retreat, popular with late night theatre goers and serves delicious local dishes and good wines.
