To See & Do - Overrated

Le Havre , though well known and fairly sizeable, has little appeal, having been bombed in the Second World War and rebuilt to dubious tastes. If you are after a day out in a large town, better to go to Caen - no less bomb damaged, but somehow more welcoming – you can take in the D-Day landing beaches at the same time.
